Diocesan Coronation

of the Virgin Mary, Guardian of the Faith

The undersigned Archbishop of Cuenca,

Whereas:

a) That the crowning of the image of the Virgin Mary is a tradition of the universal and particular Church in recognition of her presence and mission in the history of the salvation of all peoples.

b) That in the sanctuary "Jardines del Cajas" the Virgin Mary has been venerated under the title of "Guardian of the Faith" for twenty-five years, where, thanks to her maternal intercession, many people have received various spiritual and material benefits from God.

c) That the love and devotion to the Virgin Mary, "Guardian of the Faith" have transcended the geographical and cultural limits of the Archdiocese of Cuenca, maintaining the centrality of Christ in all catechetical and liturgical expressions.

Authorizes the diocesan coronation of the Virgin Mary, "Guardian of the Faith", in the place where her Shrine will be built.

2. Delegates the coronation of the Image of the Virgin Mary, "Guardian of the Faith", to Fr. Paco Noel Reyes Mora, as Rector of the Shrine.

GUARDIAN OF THE FAITH

MIAMI - FLORIDA

On September 14, 2014, in the Archdiocese of Miami, the image of Our Lady Mary Mother Guardian of the Faith was crowned by the Archbishop of Miami, Thomas Wenski. This Eucharistic celebration was attended by many faithful with great devotion. It began with the recitation of the Holy Rosary followed by the entrance of the image of Our Lady in procession. A solemn Mass was celebrated and concelebrated by twelve priests. The image of the crowned Virgin remained to be venerated by all the faithful in the church of St. Brendan Catholic Church.
