ASSOCIATION OF THE FAITHFUL MARY MOTHER GUARDIAN OF THE FAITH

LA ASSOCIATION OF THE FAITHFUL MARY MOTHER GUARDIAN OF THE FAITH is an Association of lay and clerical faithful that according to Canon 298 No. 1, seeks to promote a more perfect life of faith and apostolate, under the protection and imitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God and our Mother. It is constituted in the Archdiocese of Cuenca, with headquarters in this same city. It was approved by Monsignor Vicente Cisneros Durán on May 1, 2000.

SPIRITUALITY

Nur spirituality is Marian and Eucharistic. Marian because it is Mary who leads us to Christ on the way of faith, she is our example and model of life, from the announcement, life, death, resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, and in the grace of Pentecost and the nascent Church she is the one who teaches us to look at the face of Christ in the most needy and makes us Christ-centered. Eucharistic because it truly believes that Jesus is alive in the Eucharist, the reason for our faith, in it is also our sustenance and our strength.

CARISMA

Ato know, to know, to imitate Jesus and Mary, Mary as model of faith, using all means of evangelization to make Christ Jesus known, to promote solid living in devotion to the Eucharist, the Sacraments and devotional practices and to Mary Most Holy as Mother and model, and her true devotion.

ESCENCIA

Ehe search for a more perfect life of faith and apostolate leads us to render our service to Holy Mother Church. We seek to walk always under her tutelage and with unconditional obedience to Holy Mother Church, following her precepts, faithful to her Magisterium, faithful to the Holy Father the Pope and to the prelates of the Church in all the corners where the Association is established. We fervently practice the Works of Mercy, evangelization and promulgate true love for the Eucharist and Mary Most Holy. We seek to give witness to our Faith, so that we can bring Christ in all places and situations that life presents us, for this we seek to deepen the study of the Word of God, the Catechism of the Church, and its teachings and the study of Mariology. We support our journey by living, as much as possible, the daily Mass, praying the Holy Rosary, practicing the sacraments and praying together in the Cenacles of Prayer. We consecrate our life, after a journey and a preparation, by which we are made consecrated members, it is not a devotional consecration, it is a consecration to a way of life with commitment and duties of life, it is a consecration to the Holy Trinity through the Blessed Virgin Mary Guardian of the Faith in the Association of the Faithful Mary Guardian of the Faith.

APOSTOLIC MISSION

Our apostolate is directed towards the realization of works of mercy, both material and spiritual, directed to all those in need of relief in their physical needs as well as those of the heart and soul.

COMMON WORKS IN ALL THE PLACES WHERE THE ASSOCIATION IS PRESENT ARE:

  • Cenacles of Prayer (Approved by Mons. Luis Gerardo Cabrera, Bishop of the Archdiocese of Cuenca)
  • Sites of Jericho of permanent prayer for 7 days before Jesus in the Sacrament of the Blessed Sacrament
  • Eucharistic Thursdays of adoration.
  • Study of the Word of God.
  • Study of the Catechism of the Church.

PARTICULARLY IN ECUADOR, THE ASSOCIATION PARTICIPATES IN:

  • We work together and in close collaboration in the Archdiocesan Shrine dedicated to the HOLY TRINITY AND THE IMMACULATE VIRGIN MARY: DAUGHTER OF THE FATHER, MOTHER OF THE SON AND WIFE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, GUARDIAN OF THE FAITH ROSA MISTICA DEL CAJAS, Cuenca, ECUADOR.
  • Annual senior retreat and annual youth retreat.
  • Celebration of the Holy Mass in community every Thursday, Sunday and first Friday of each month, in the Maria Guardiana de la Fe Chapel in the city of Cuenca.
  • She visits the sick, the needy, the dying, the sad, the afflicted and all those who come to seek prayer and help.
  • Material and spiritual assistance to the needy:
    • Lunch for indigent people every Saturday (Started in 1991).
    • Casa Hogar María Guardiana de la Fe for street children with drug addiction problems.
    • Assistance to low-income families with the provision of clothing, medicine and food to individuals and families with limited economic resources.
    • Anti-abortion work, and support for women and mothers.
    • The image of the pilgrim Virgin visiting the sick, homes, cities and countries.
The organization, on behalf of the Archdiocese of Cuenca, of the festivities of: Corpus Christi and the Immaculate Conception.
